The Suffolk County Fire Academy is pleased to announce that
we are now offering the new 21 hour New York State Fire
Police Course. The program consists of six sessions, five
three-hour lecture sessions and the last session, which is

an existing Fire Police Squad or Company and must produce
satisfactory evidence of the completion of the ICS100 and

of Department indicating the completion date of these

completion of ICS100 and IS700.

Centereach Fire Department. Pre-registration is required for

effort to quell the rash of No Shows at Open
Enrollment Classes, the Fire Academy has instituted a
new procedure for registration for these programs. A
$25.00 registration must accompany all applications for
Open Enrollment Programs. This fee will be reimbursed
upon completion of the class. If a student fails to show
without contacting the Academy at least 48 hours prior
to the start of class or does not complete the program,
the registration fee will be forfeited
A course
confirmation letter will be sent to each student, which must
be presented on the first day of class. This letter will
only be sent after the application and registration fee has
been received. Most of our Open Enrollment Classes have
waiting lists so it is imperative that students who are

from the waiting list
