Full Description: This course is designed to inform fire department personnel about the importance of recording and maintaining accurate incident data, current means to record incident data, and how that data may be used to best serve their internal and external customers. The course will culminate with practical skills application in the NERIS incident reporting platform. Students are required to bring and successfully operate a computer or electronic tablet to participate in this course.
Designed for: Fire service personnel responsible for completing agency incident reports or making data-informed decisions. Use of third-party records management systems is not covered during this course, but agencies using them may still find this course to be beneficial.
