This course allows students to continue their training in the heavy rescue disciplines, going beyond vehicle extrication and disentanglement. The program involves both classroom lecture and hands-on training. Topics will include: an introduction to meters used during everyday emergencies as well as hazardous materials incidents, elevator emergencies, basic rigging, cutting torches, and industrial rescue/man-in-machine incidents.

Prerequisite: Firefighter I or Basic Exterior Firefighting with HMFRO, Heavy Rescue I
